Goose Island India Pale Ale
by KFAZ

Letting the take over begin due to be busy and not writing for weeks.

So the Jew calls me after work on a Wednesday and wanted sushi, all he could eat to be exact. How could I turn it down…so of course we need beer for that. And of course why not try something new. The wait was long so most of it was finished in our pack before we actually ate, but who really cares about that anyways.GI IPA

Brewery Hometown: About 2 miles away. North side of Chicago.

Appearance: A golden amber color, looked like copper. Kinda hazy. Decent amount of head appeared but disappeared fast into a small layer that stayed through out.

Aroma: a sweet hoppy smell. maybe grapefruitish is best?

Taste: After the first taste I knew it was a goose Island beer. Wasn’t very strong in the fruit department for the taste like the smell. Kinda bitter, leaves a dry taste in your mouth. Reminded me of a 312 in taste, which is just an American hops taste, with a the India pale ale spice. Wasn’t anything amazing in taste, esp for an India Pale ale, but made me wish I could turn in to a 312 instead.

Alcohol: 5.90%

Drink one or all?: I had 3 but that was because I had nothing else to drink. Wasn’t bad for An IPA but nothing really stood out and just made me want a 12 pack of 312 instead.

Cost: 7$/ 6 pack

Overall: 6.8/ 10 Nothing stood out. Not amazing for an American IPA. I can live without buying it again and getting something else from goose island if I want that taste.
