So the label says Monty Python’s Holy Grail Ale on it..with the GR crossed out to make it Holy Ale…but yeah…not so much holy. But I could see where it fits in with whats under that on the bottle saying Tempered over burning witches!
Brewery Hometown: Black Sheep Brewery - UK
Appearance Came out with a quite a bit of head on top, kinda off white. Took a while to settle, was playing rock band while it settled and it definitely looked like a sloppy mess when it settled, random thick lacing all over the cup and the head didn’t settle flat, it look like a mountain range in my cup. A golden amber color. Pretty strong carbonation going on.
Aroma: Have a cold, but the smell wasn’t too strong. Kinda mellow. Kinda like honey with an earthy tone to it. Almost like cider.
Taste: Has a bitter sour taste to it over all. A honey applish taste. The end is very earthy…almost like burning witches in shrubbery. Had a lot more to the smell then the taste. Kinda weak.
Alcohol: 4.7 %
Drink one or all?: Well I bought just one, and if I bought another. I just wouldn’t open it and leave it as a novelty decoration. Just not worth it
Cost: $3.50 /1 bottle ( 1 pt 0.9 fl. oz)
Overall: 6.5 It was alright for a novelty beer. Not really worth drinking again besides the fact is says holy ail on it. Worth of shot if you like Monty Python
